HOMEING – Interior Design and Home Living

Homeing returns to Lisbon with new trends in interior design and decoration

From September 29 to October 1, the renewed Homeing – Interior Design and Home Living returns to Pavilhão Carlos Lopes, in Lisbon, with a reinforced offer. With a broad look at the sector and the expected trends for next season, the event presents the best in innovation in design and interior architecture and, this year, includes a new area focused on upcycling. Homeing – Interior Design and Home Living is returning to Lisbon. From September 29 to October 1, the Pavilhão Carlos Lopes, at Parque Eduardo VII, in Lisbon, will host the 7th edition of the event, in which dozens of brands and hundreds of interior design and decoration professionals are expected to present their solutions, in line with the new trends and novelties in the residential, hotel, and tourism markets.

The success of Homeing has already been usual, with the last edition – which marked the return to the face-to-face format, after two years of pandemic – gathering more than 3456 visitors and 50 exhibitors. For 2022, this last number has already been exceeded and expectations are high, with the adoption of new dynamics, areas, talks and many reference brands in their respective segments. Divided into six exhibition areas (furniture, lighting, accessories / bath, decorative fabrics / coatings, tapestries / textiles and design solutions), among the brands present assure the presence of Pombo, Azulima, Richimi, Sancovedras, Arch Valadares, Bplan, Signature Factory, Sorema, Barreiros & Barreiros and Tapeçarias Ferreira de Sá.

For this edition, the motto is “Metamorphosis”, in an allusion to change and transformation that begins inside spaces, in a way adapted to the needs, expectations, and ambitions associated with individual growth. It is in this context that taylor made is once again valued at the event, by attributing to human talent and art the merit of adapting solutions to each project, on behalf of a unique identity.

For Amélia Estêvão, Exponor’s Marketing Director, “The furniture sector in Portugal is very expressive and includes more than 45,000 companies, 30,000 employees and between 3 and 4% weight in the balance of exports, with export values, in 2021, in the order of 1.78 billion. The fact that we have a culture that, on the one hand, is strongly industrialized and increasingly digitalized and, on the other, preserves and highly values the art of craftsmen and woodworkers, makes us a country very prepared to innovate and create custom projects. This event translates this talent, the brands’ innovative vision, and the ability to produce completely in line with the sector’s trends, creating very relevant networking opportunities for all kinds of players”.

Keeping up with the biggest global trends in the housing sector, one of the big pillars of this 7th edition is Sustainability, which will introduce an area specifically focused on brands that operate on the basis of an upcycling culture and that present eco-friendly solutions, in market segments focused on housing and materials. In addition to the exhibition of remarkable and innovative solutions in this area, several talks about circular design will also be promoted, with reference speakers able to translate concrete cases and trends for what the future holds.

Since its debut, Homeing has established itself as a moment of business and contact sharing. The event presents itself as the right opportunity to bring together specialists in interior design and architecture, where the sharing of ideas and experiences is celebrated, giving space to brands of excellence.

With the event happening for the seventh time in the capital, Amélia Estêvão also explains that “We have reinforced Exponor’s presence in Lisbon through this event, with the goal of creating greater ease of access to brands and professionals of different sizes and geographies. We have registered a progressive growth in each edition and the intention is to make it more and more democratized, developed and adapted to the Portuguese corporate and industrial fabric. We have good expectations for this edition and for the national and international business that can be developed in this context. We also hope that the brands we invite to be present here can, also, grow with us and raise the talent and quality of national production across borders”.

As in the previous edition, the digital platform E+E Homeing appears as a complement to the physical presence at the event, presenting itself as a continuous source of inspiration and a working tool over time for all professionals in the sector.

The event, aimed at professionals, will have extended hours, from 11am to 8pm on September 29 and 30, and from 11am to 7pm on October 1.
