From Past to Future: EntreCampos Project transforms Lisbon

From Past to Future: EntreCampos Project transforms LisbonThe EntreCampos Project, promoted by Fidelidade Property Europe, is one of the most ambitious urban regeneration initiatives in Lisbon in recent decades. Located on the former Feira Popular site, between Campo Grande and Campo Pequeno, this development aims to transform a central area of the city into a new centre for housing, business, leisure and innovation. With a gross construction area of 330,000 m², the project includes seven office buildings, three residential buildings with a total of 249 flats, 75 commercial spaces spread over two floors, as well as 17,000 m² of public spaces and green areas. The architecture of EntreCampos was designed by internationally and nationally renowned firms such as Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF), Gensler, Promontório and Saraiva + Associados. The residential buildings were designed by Portuguese architects Álvaro Siza Vieira and Eduardo Souto de Moura, both Pritzker Prize winners, in collaboration with architect Ana Costa. Sustainability is a central pillar of the project. EntreCampos is the first development in Portugal to obtain LEED Neighbourhood Gold pre-certification, which assesses the energy efficiency and environmental impact of the project as a whole. It is also the first in continental Europe to receive the WiredScore Neighbourhood certification, which recognises excellence in digital connectivity and technological infrastructure. EntreCampos’ strategic location offers excellent accessibility, being just 10 minutes from Lisbon International Airport and well served by a vast public transport network, including metro, train and buses, as well as an extensive network of cycle paths. The project is part of the “Operação Integrada de Entrecampos” promoted by Lisbon City Council, which combines public and private initiatives for the development of affordable housing, social and cultural facilities and urban infrastructures.
