Interfer launches 1st Edition of Design and Architecture Award for University Students

Interfer takes a step forward in its relationship with the Academy by establishing, for the first time this year, the 1st Interfer Universities Award. The prize will be awarded through a Competition for Innovation in Furniture, and is aimed at students of Higher Education Design and Architecture courses in Portugal.

This initiative aims to encourage the creativity of Design and Architecture students, publicize its quality, and promote its public recognition. The program for this first edition requires the elaboration of the project for a kitchen with a volume of 27 m3, incorporating hardware from Hettich (the largest German manufacturer of hardware), chipboards/MDF from Alvic, and interior design solutions from Menage Confort.

The five finalists of the competition, as well as the professor guiding the winning project, will receive a trip to Germany, to the Hettich factories and academy. The winner will also receive €2000 and will see their project built by Interfer. The winner will be announced at a public ceremony on June 7th, 2023, at a location to be announced.

The 2nd edition of the Prize, to be held in 2024, will also be launched at the ceremony on June 7th, 2023, when the winner is announced.
