Born in 1983 in Montebelluna, in the Treviso region, Peri graduated in Interior Design from the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) in Milan, where he would go on to establish his studio in 2011. Prior to that, an
experience in Paris as part of an artist residency and collaboration with the Vudafieri-Saverino Partners studio helped consolidate a cosmopolitan and rigorous vision of design, strongly linked to space, narrative, and the identity of places. Since founding his studio, Federico Peri has developed projects that span different scales—from furniture design to residential interiors, commercial spaces, and retail projects—while always maintaining a consistent language.
One of the most distinctive aspects of his work is the attention he pays to authentic, aged materials, chosen not only for their aesthetic quality but above all for their ability to convey memory and history. In furniture design, Federico Peri moves between the functional and the sculptural, creating pieces with a discreet yet intense presence, where form never overshadows function. His collections reveal a constant interest in the dialogue between tradition and contemporaneity, reinterpreting classic references through a current and refined language. This positioning has allowed him to collaborate with prestigious brands and institutions, such as Baxter, FontanaArte, Brokis, Gervasoni 1882, Florim, and the Nilufar Gallery in Milan, where he also develops more authorial and experimental editions. International recognition of his work is reflected in a consistent track record of awards and distinctions. In 2016, he was nominated for the German Design Awards for his Shapes lighting collection. The following year, he was nominated for Best Emerging Designer at the Salone del Mobile in Milan. In 2018, he received the Rising Talent Award at Maison & Objet in Paris, consolidating his international reputation.
This was followed by consecutive inclusions in Architectural Digest France’s AD100 list (2019 and 2020) and, in 2021, the EDIDA – Elle Decor International Design Awards, in the bedroom furniture category, with the Stone bed for Baxter. More recently, in 2023, he won the FRAME Awards in the Finish of the Year category with the Compatta project developed for Florim.
