Toni Grilo
Toni Grilo
Designer and Art Director, Toni Grilo was born in France in 1979.
A graduate of École Boulle in Paris, he moved to Lisbon in 2001 while continuing to work on projects in France. The low table and side table, Basic, from Riluc, are proof of this, as they made their way to the Elysée Palace, to the office of Emmanuel Macron, the current President of the French Republic. After various collaborations and discovering Portugal as a country rich in craftsmanship and industry, Toni Grilo decided to stay in Portugal where he co-founded an agency in 2005 with Elder Monteiro.
In 2008, he opened his own studio, where he creates products, furniture, and scenography. The Vão table is the first piece from the designer’s own brand, INOT, where he collaborates and co-edits lines with Portuguese producers – in this case, Mármores Centrais do Minho. The designer manages various international brands, such as Riluc, Hayman, Blackcork, Roche-Bobois, and the centennial silverware factory Topázio.
