Alves Ludovico

Designer and creator Alves Ludovico was born in 1990. His educational journey includes the University of Aalto, the National Academy of Arts in Oslo, and the University of Évora. His recent exhibitions include Ventura Future, Milan Design Week, 2019; EMOVEO, Movements in Contemporary Design, Helsinki Design Museum, 2018; Objectified, CICA Museum, Gimpo, South Korea, 2018. In 2013, he was awarded the Hello Future ASIA AWARD Young Creators EX at Tokyo Designer’s Week. Founder of Studio Ludovico, it was established with the conviction that an object should be able to communicate with its user. “The power of design is that it can enter the homes of its users and public spaces and be there to provide stimuli through a relationship of usability. He likes to create unique pieces that establish emotional bonds.” He enjoys playing with all areas of design, from jewelry to furniture design, with a sculptural component. Instead of seeing the different areas of design as limitations, he views them as an innovative sphere for creating immersive narratives.
