Concreta: 31st edition exceeds visitor expectations
Of the 30,000 visitors to this edition, the southern districts registered an increase of almost 50 per cent compared to 2022. The next edition will return in 2026.
Concreta – the largest national event in the construction, architecture, design and engineering sectors – opened its doors from 20 to 23 November at Exponor to challenge companies and professionals to implement decarbonisation in these sectors.
The 31st edition attracted around 30,000 visitors, with an increase of almost 50 per cent compared to 2022 in visitors from the south, specifically from the districts of Lisbon, Leiria, Santarém, Setúbal, Évora and Faro. The islands also saw a significant increase in the same order of figures compared to the last edition of Concreta.
The 30,000 or so visitors included representatives from other European countries such as Spain, France and Italy, but also from countries such as Brazil, the United States of America and China.
With around 400 exhibitors, the fair covered an area of around 27,000 square metres, reflecting the performance and vision for the future of companies in the sector.
The fair featured more than 50 conferences on topics as varied as sustainability, technological innovation and digitalisation and more than 100 prestigious speakers, including architects, engineers and specialists.
According to Carlos Manuel, CEO of Amorim Cork Insulation, ‘This year’s edition totally lived up to expectations. It’s a key trade fair at national level, as evidenced by the number of exhibitors who came from the south of the country. Furthermore, the fact that Concreta is held in Porto and is close to the Galician market is very strategic for companies in the sector.’
For his part, Pedro Goulart Mendes, Secil’s Marketing Director, emphasises the importance of the company’s presence at Concreta, above all to establish closer relations with its customers. ‘It’s an opportunity for us to show the new products we have for the market and this is one of the moments when we can do so in the north of the country. Furthermore, Concreta is a fair that fulfils our commitment to sustainability.’
This edition, like previous ones, also brought together architects, engineers, technicians, consultants, builders, installers, among many other specialities, a wide range of companies from various sectors ranging from coverings, insulation, kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, air conditioning, lighting, carpentry and construction machinery, tools and equipment.
Concreta & Eletrica will return in 2026 and the date has already been set for 18-21 November.
