Since they opened their doors, Barceló Torre de Madrid and Barceló Imagine have become the place to be in Madrid. Located in the heart of the capital, a world reference in design, these 5* destination hotels stand out not only for their privileged location, but also for their striking architecture and interior design that connects guests to the destination through emotions. A pioneering destination in design tourism that combines modernity and practicality.

Barceló Imagine: melodic design

Considered the first musical hotel in the capital, inside the Barceló Imagine, located just a few minutes from Plaza Castilla and the Kio Towers, design and music merge in rooms inspired by the history of the fourth art.

The interior design brings the main characteristics of music to every corner of the hotel and its 156 rooms. Two concepts work in parallel, the aesthetic and the emotional, which can be appreciated through its decorative and architectural elements in numerous references to musical art.

The grand piano or Monster Piano that welcomes Barceló Imagine guests and clients on arrival at the hotel, the nooks and crannies full of experiences, such as the rooms inspired by British rock bands from the 1960’s, like The Cavern, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and The Marquee Club, or the rooftop Sky Lounge Bar, make the #barceloimagine experience a must for fans of interior design.

With plenty of rhythm in a city strongly linked to music and avant-garde sounds, Barceló Imagine is an authentic Madrid experience to enjoy, relax and connect with culture and design.

Barceló Torre de Madrid

There is a place where you can enjoy good interior design all year round, and that place is the Barceló Torre de Madrid hotel. This hotel not only stands out for its strategic location overlooking Madrid’s most iconic landmarks, Gran Vía and the new Plaza de España, but also for its exquisite decoration and interior design, the work of Jaime Hayon.

The artist and designer is a world reference in Spanish design. In his proposal for the Barceló Torre de Madrid, Spanish history and culture are present in the hotel’s furniture, works of art and sculptures, in constant dialogue with the spaces, which are not without the modern and irreverent character of his work.

In this vein, one of the most striking and playful sculptures in the space is in the lobby: a huge surrealist bear emblazoned with stripes – alluding to Madrid’s coat of arms – which welcomes guests. This playful but imposing entrance sets the tone for the entire hotel, inspired by the richness and diversity of Spanish culture.

With the same focus, located in the hotel lobby, is La Santa María Gastrobar. The restaurant, also designed by Jaime Hayon, is an evolution of the existing interior design. On this occasion, he has created a unique space that maintains the balance of colours, thanks to its high ceilings, a spectacular atmosphere. His style is reflected in the subtle, organic shapes, where materiality and furniture merge in a seductive harmony of elements. Also noteworthy is the use of the colour bronze in the showcases and lamps, creating mirrors and elements that play with reflections, transforming it into a photogenic and spectacular setting. Every moment at La Santa María is experienced as if it were a scene from a film, where each space has custom-made furniture and details that highlight the lightness of the curves and create unique shadows and reflections.
