Silhouette dining chair wins ‘Iron’ A’Design Award
The Silhouette dining chair, designed by Joana Santos Barbosa, was awarded the ‘Iron’ prize in the prestigious A’Design Award competition, one of the most influential international competitions today, in the Furniture Design category.
The Silhouette emerges as a surreal masterpiece, delicately sculpted to embody the to embody the sensual elegance of a woman’s curves, now immortalised in the form of a sophisticated dining chair. Meticulously crafted, with special attention to detail, this creation captures the essence of elegance and uniqueness.
Inspired by the works of 20th century visionaries such as Paul Klee, Silhouette transcends the boundaries of conventional design.

Its wooden frame reveals a glimpse of femininity, evoking a sense of timeless beauty. From the gently curved seat, reminiscent of a cosy smile, to the subtle contours that mirror the graceful movement of the hips, the Silhouette exemplifies perfection in quality and mastery.
