SILDOOR celebrates 25 years as a ‘family’ at Coolpark

SILDOOR, a Leiria-based company dedicated to the production of kitchen furniture, interior doors, wardrobes and bathroom furniture, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year with a ‘special’ event on 10 August at Coolpark with employees, customers and suppliers.

‘This event will be similar to the one held five years ago to celebrate the company’s 20th anniversary. It will bring together employees, customers and suppliers for a day of conviviality and celebration,’ says Paulo Silva, SILDOOR’s CEO, recognising the importance of all the parties involved in the company’s success.

Founded in 1999, the company has travelled a path of growth and innovation, consolidating its position in the Portuguese market and expanding internationally to France in 2010 and Angola in 2014, essentially in the area of commercialisation.

SILDOOR’s history began with three partners, but it is currently managed by Paulo Silva and João Ferreira, who took over the leadership in 2012, the year in which the company changed from a limited company to a public limited company. Since its foundation, SILDOOR has focused on quality and sustainability, obtaining ISO 9001 certification in 2005 and ISO 14001 in 2011 for the first time.

The company has faced significant challenges, especially during the economic crisis between 2010 and 2014 and, more recently, during the pandemic. However, the ability to adapt and the search for new markets allowed SILDOOR to overcome these adversities.
‘We’ve done a lot of restructuring in the company, not only in terms of infrastructure, but also in terms of equipment,’ explains the CEO.

SILDOOR continues to innovate and expand its operations. ‘We’ll soon be completing a new project to expand the unit in Leiria, adding 1,400 square metres to its sales area,’ says Paulo Silva in an interview with our newspaper.

This expansion ‘aims to improve our capacity to serve the professional public and increase production efficiency’, he emphasises. The company was recently awarded PME Líder status in 2023 and PME Excelência status in 2022. With around 60 employees, SILDOOR continues to grow and consolidate its position in both the national and international markets.

This kitchen and bathroom furniture company is located on Rua da Esperança in Leiria and is open Monday to Friday from 08h00 to 18h00.
