Salone del Mobile.Milano and Bloomingdale’s Unveil an Extraordinary Showcase of Italian Design in New York City
This September, Salone del Mobile.Milano, the world’s premier international design show, is coming to New York City for its first-ever collaboration with the iconic department store Bloomingdale’s.
A highlight of the event, running from September 5-29, will be a stunning installation by acclaimed architect Ferruccio Laviani. Titled “Italian Design: from Classic to Contemporary,” the immersive exhibit draws inspiration from the metaphysical piazzas of the Italian painter Giorgio de Chirico. It will feature iconic products from 23 distinguished Italian brands, offering a breathtaking journey through the evolution of Italian design: Artemide, Edra, Flexform, Flou, Foscarini, Frigerio Poltrone e Divani, Gallotti&Radice, Gessi, Kartell, Lema, Living Divani, Minotti, Molteni&C, Oluce, Porro, Riva 1920, Scavolini, Sigma L2, Tacchini, Technogym, Turri, Villari, Visionnaire.
In addition to the captivating installation, the month-long event will include a variety of engaging talks, exciting events, interactive activities, and unique shopping experiences – all aimed at captivating the New York design community and enthusiasts, while showcasing the rich heritage and innovative spirit of Italian design.
