Roca Lisboa Gallery joins the Architecture and Sustainable Construction

The partnership will bring Sustainable Fridays, an initiative aimed at promoting good practices, to the brand’s space in Lisbon.

Roca Lisboa Gallery joins the Architecture and Sustainable Construction

The Roca Lisboa Gallery in Lisbon has teamed up with the Sustainable Architecture and Construction Portal to host two sessions of the Sustainable Fridays initiative, in a programme whose main objective is to raise awareness among professionals and students of the importance of adopting sustainable behaviour in the construction sector.

The two sessions, ‘Decarbonisation in the construction sector’, on 13 September, and ‘Building sustainable bathrooms’, on 11 October, will allow participants to learn about the progress the sector has made towards carbon neutrality.
This sector has been reinventing itself in order to commit to new technologies in production processes and strategies for creating sustainable materials to minimise its environmental footprint.

Sustainability is one of the main pillars of the Roca Group, which reinforced this position with the inauguration of the world’s first electric oven for the production of sanitary ware. As part of this commitment, the group announced that, by the end of 2023, it had achieved a 50 per cent reduction in Scope 1 and 2 CO2 emissions compared to 2018.

About the Roca Lisboa Gallery

Roca created the Roca Gallery project in 2010 as a meeting point to encourage constant dialogue with society and the professionals with whom the company shares its curiosity and interest in the construction sector and innovation in the bathroom space. An objective expressed through physical spaces located in landmark buildings in cities such as London, Shanghai, Beijing, Barcelona, Madrid and Lisbon and São Paulo.
In Portugal, the Roca Lisboa Gallery opened its doors to the capital in 2011. Located in a historic building over 100 years old, the space hosts exhibitions, debates, presentations and other events which, together with the display of Roca’s latest innovations, convey the essence and values of the brand.
