The event provided a strategic platform for Portuguese companies to explore new opportunities in the German and global markets, positioning themselves as partners of reference in the supply of modern and sustainable office furniture and workspaces.

ORGATEC 2024 creates opportunities for entrepreneurs in the wood and furniture industry

 

Between 22 and 25 October, AIMMP organised the participation of seven Portuguese brands at ORGATEC 2024 in Cologne, Germany, consolidating Portugal’s position as a leading player in office furniture and workplace design.
Organised by the AIMMP, the Portuguese delegation attracted the attention of international visitors with solutions that combine innovation, quality and sustainability, establishing itself in one of Europe’s most demanding markets.
During the four days of the fair, Bloma, Cadeinor, Design By Miguel Soeiro, Fenabel, MBN Group, More Contract and X8 Solutions Group presented a variety of products that highlighted the creativity and excellence of Portuguese industry, promoting new partnerships and business opportunities.

The national brands present at the fair stood out for their commitment to the future of work environments, focusing on solutions that not only meet the functional needs of modern spaces, but also integrate sustainability practices and technological innovation. The presence in Hall 4.2, Stand C 019; Hall 7, Stand C 048 – Meeting Point and Hall 10.2, Stand N 018 allowed for direct involvement with international buyers, designers and renowned architects, solidifying Portugal’s presence as a crucial player in this sector.
In recent years, Portugal’s wood and furniture sector has seen exponential growth in exports, and participation in ORGATEC 2024 underlined the potential for continued expansion in this highly competitive market. The commitment of Portuguese companies to innovation, sustainability and excellence positions the country as a reliable partner in the transformation of working environments on a global scale.

INTERNATIONALISATION PLAN – INTER WOOD & FURNITURE OF AIMMP

Within the scope of Inter Wood & Furniture, AIMMP’s Internationalisation Plan provides for the implementation of strategies for international expansion and diversification into high-potential markets, through a structured intervention programme. Among other initiatives, and for 2024, the programme includes a plan for international trade fairs which can be consulted on the AIMMP website.

Over the years, this programme has supported more than 400 companies, through 140 actions, in around 32 markets, with incentives of up to 50%, contributing to the growth of the sector’s exports, which have doubled since 2010.
