Nini Andrade Silva is keynote speaker at Web Summit 2024

‘How to design life’ is a panel where the designer tells how she designed her national and international career

Interior designer Nini Andrade Silva is the guest keynote speaker at Web Summit 2024, which will take place from 11 to 14 November at the MEO Arena in Lisbon. ‘How to design life’ is the name of the moment in which the artist will have the opportunity to share with the audience a little more about her life and career and how she managed to take her work to the four corners of the world. The interior designer will also be judging the StartUps PITCH Competition.

During the talk ‘How to design life’, scheduled for 13 November at 12.35pm in Hall 3, Nini Andrade Silva will explore life from a design perspective, suggesting that we can shape it internationally to achieve well-being, satisfaction and purpose. The concept is based on the principles of design thinking, a methodology used in creative problem solving and innovation, and proposes the application of these same approaches to personal and professional life planning. The central idea is that, just as we design products or services, we can design our personal and professional lives in a more intentional way, adapting them to what we have learnt about ourselves and the world around us.

‘Life is a blank canvas that I colour, adding textures and other sensations as things happen. I go into each project taking with me all the experience and knowledge I’ve accumulated over my 35-year career, but with the certainty that with each project I’ll renew myself, learn and surprise myself. And that’s the magic of living, of creating your own life and, in my case, of my work: not taking anything for granted and knowing that I continue to evolve with each project. I feel that this is the only way I can continue to provide my clients with a differentiated service,’ says Nini Andrade Silva.

Participation in the PITCH Competition for Startups

During the same event, on 12 November at 3pm, the interior designer will be part of the StartUps PITCH Competition judging panel. 10 competing startups will have three minutes to pitch,
followed by a three-minute question and answer session with the judging panel. Ghita Targhi from
Brighteye Ventures, José Rocha from Triggr Ventures and Kirby Winfield from Ascend.vc join Nini Andrade Silva from Atelier Nini Andrade Silva, giving their final thoughts on PITCH Group 14.
