FIMMA + Maderalia, with training and talent in a new edition of the Profemadera stand competition
The association of wood and furniture teachers promotes this competition among its members for the design and construction of the Profemadera stand at the next edition of FIMMA + Maderalia.

FIMMA + Maderalia, the benchmark biennial for materials, components and solutions for furniture, carpentry and interior design, strengthens in its next edition its commitment to talent, training and professional prescription by once again promoting the project competition for the design, manufacture and installation of the Profemadera stand. The initiative will take place within the framework of the fair, which will be held from November 10 to 13, 2026 at Feria Valencia.
The competition, promoted by Profemadera —the association of wood and furniture teachers— and aimed at its members in collaboration with their students, consists of the design and construction of a 32 m² stand that will be executed by the winning team and presented during the fair.
This space is conceived as a real trade fair project, where training, industry and design converge, and as a tangible example of how vocational training can respond to the current needs of the market.
The winning project must reflect the values of Profemadera —teaching vocation, passion for wood, sustainability, collaboration and continuous improvement— and highlight wood as a technical, versatile material aligned with the current challenges of design and space construction. In this way, the initiative helps to enrich the trade fair experience and to offer content with real impact on the sector.
Training and talent, pillars of FIMMA + Maderalia.
For FIMMA + Maderalia, having the involvement of Profemadera once again through this project brings strategic added value to the fair, by directly integrating vocational training into the exhibition space and the sector’s discourse. In a context marked by the shortage of new qualified professionals, one of the main limitations to the growth of the wood and furniture sector, collaboration with Profemadera makes it possible to highlight the role of training as a lever for competitiveness, innovation and generational renewal.
In this sense, the presence of the Profemadera stand also represents an opportunity to increase the attraction of prescribers —architects, interior designers, designers and professionals from the contract channel— key profiles in defining trends and in the incorporation of wood and new materials in interior design and equipment projects. The exhibition space will serve as a meeting point and content of interest also for the community of teachers and students, reinforcing Maderalia’s positioning as a trade fair that generates knowledge and not only commercial offerings.
With actions such as this competition, FIMMA + Maderalia consolidates its role as a platform that connects industry, training and prescription, incorporating proposals that respond to the structural challenges of the sector and that enhance the attractiveness of the fair for companies, professionals and future talents.
