Cevisama 2025 will recreate a sustainable hotel with ceramics and innovative bathroom fittings

Architect Héctor Ruiz-Velázquez is designing the ‘Hotel Cevisama’, a design facility that will include rooms, multifunctional spaces and a conference area based on the potential of Cevisama’s contract offer. The ‘Hotel Cevisama’ is presented as ‘a striking architectural icon that combines organic and geometric forms in an innovative way’ to showcase European ceramics and bathroom fittings ‘as a symbol of respect for our roots’.

Cevisama is steadily preparing for its next edition, which will take place from 24 to 28 February at Feria Valencia. This is an event with many new features, including the ‘Cevisama Hotel’ installation, a project born out of the creativity of Puerto Rican architect Héctor Ruiz-Velázquez to enthuse and valorise ceramics and bathrooms as a key element in the hotel contracts and equipment business.
The project was born with the firm intention of enthusing the sector and showcasing the industry’s full potential in one of the largest installations made with ceramics at a trade fair event like Cevisama. A large space of around 800 square metres that will recreate the different environments of a hotel establishment, from bedrooms, communal spaces, outdoor areas, multipurpose rooms and a large conference area.
This initiative comes after the great success that Héctor Ruiz-Velázquez himself achieved recently at the Hábitat València fair with an installation of similar characteristics, but which on this occasion has been improved and scaled up so that ceramics and bathroom fittings are the main protagonists.
In fact, it will be built exclusively with the most innovative materials and collections from the exhibitors at Cevisama 2025, with the aim of multiplying the visibility of these companies among the thousands of professionals from the sector who are expected to attend the event at the Valencia Fair.

Sustainability and respect for materials
‘The Hotel Cevisama will present itself as a striking architectural icon, combining organic and geometric shapes in an innovative way,’ explains Héctor Ruiz-Velázquez, who emphasises that ’its imposing central tower will stand out for its transparency and natural light, with large openings that will illuminate the interior spaces and connect with the environment. A design that promises to be a symbol of the event, fusing aesthetics and functionality into a unique experience.’
The aim will be to emphasise the value of sustainability in order to tie in with one of the current lines of communication for both Cevisama and the sector itself. ‘The Cevisama Hotel celebrates European ceramics as a symbol of respect for our roots, our environment and our people,’ says the Puerto Rican architect, who also reveals some details of the project in which ceramics and the bathroom play an essential role, through the three natural elements: earth, water and fire.

‘The hotel’s rooms have been designed with natural materials such as ceramics and wooden details, reflecting the solidity and warmth of the earth’s environment. The hanging gardens and green spaces add a touch of tranquillity and connection with nature. In addition, the hotel will have a spa where the sound of cascading water invites rest and relaxation, with fountains and garden ponds adding serenity to the atmosphere. Finally, at the heart of the hotel, an elegant and striking reception with a backlit ceramic disc will provide a welcoming place for meetings and reflection,’ explains Héctor Ruiz-Velázquez.
In short, it will be the themed space that Cevisama is preparing for its next edition and which will capture the attention of professionals visiting the Valencia Fair. But it won’t be the last, since, under the guidance of Héctor Ruiz-Velázquez himself, Cevisama is also preparing an innovative networking and business space in a unique area of the exhibition centre, details of which will be revealed shortly.
