AIMMP promotes ‘Re-Creativity’ workshop

AIMMP – the Portuguese Wood and Furniture Industries Association – held the ‘Re-Creativity’ Workshop, an initiative that brought together business leaders, brand managers and strategic decision-makers to explore the importance of creativity and innovation in the modern business environment.

Held in two sessions, on 24 September and 1 October, the event took place at the CFPIMM – Training Centre for the Wood and Furniture Industries, in Lordelo, Paredes, and was taught by Professor Cruz Rodrigues, who has a vast curriculum in promoting creativity and innovation processes in companies and who contributed to the success of this action dedicated to the Wood and Furniture Industries.
The workshop focussed on transforming creative processes into practical and effective tools to boost business growth, and stood out for its innovative approach and the interconnection between different areas of knowledge.

Vítor Poças, President of AIMMP, emphasised the importance of this type of training, saying that ‘the “Re-Creativity” workshop proved to be a crucial initiative to help companies rethink their processes and find new ways to innovate. In an ever-changing global market, creativity is a differentiating factor that drives the competitiveness and sustainable development of our industries.’

The trainer, Professor Cruz Rodrigues, highlighted the importance of creativity as a transformative element within organisations. ‘This workshop allowed us to rethink creativity not just as a process, but as a strategic force. The ability to innovate, anticipate trends and redefine markets is essential for companies to remain competitive. The involvement and active participation of the professionals who took part demonstrates that creativity is an indispensable tool in the modern business world.’

With participation limited to 24 places per session, ‘Re-Creativity’ was fully subscribed and received excellent feedback from participants, who emphasised the practical and applicable nature of the techniques shared. The networking moments and the exchange of experiences between professionals from different sectors allowed for an interdisciplinary view of innovation, which further enriched the training experience.

Among the main topics covered in the sessions were creative tools that can be applied directly to business reality, interdisciplinary dynamics that encourage collaboration between different areas of knowledge and innovative perspectives on how creativity can redefine markets and business strategies.
