Patrizia Moroso is the art director of Moroso S.p.a., a family-owned company and manufacturer of sofas, armchairs, and furniture accessories. Moroso joined the management team in the mid-80s and, a few years later, transformed the company into an international design leader. Endowed with a remarkable creative and innovative spirit, Patrizia has an innate and insatiable interest in all forms of art, placing her ahead of her time. In fact, as early as 1988, she began working with Ron Arad, who designed his first upholstered furniture collection for her. A confident talent scout, she likes to work with unconventionality and as a team. Her very feminine approach to tactile elements encourages designers to work on the skin of objects. She frees them to revive applied arts (weaving, basketry, embroidery, decoration) and to experiment with all kinds of materials.
