Mónica Pinto receives prestigious Silver Award at A’Design Awards & Competition

Mónica Pinto de Almeida, the soul and designer behind the brand Mokki, creates pieces with passion, emotion and color. The award winning LORCA ceiling lamp brings a sculptural note to any space, it is a thin vertical rectangular line It is a thin vertical rectangular line coming straight from the ceiling, displaying an excerpt of poetry along this line. The poem embraces the entire piece, creating a perfect reading and bringing into focus the fundamental characteristic that distinguishes this unique piece. The lamp is entirely made of iron, naturally oxidized and with a matte finish. The light point incorporated in the end of the body provides a localized lighting effect localized lighting effect where needed. Through poetry, the designer wanted to create a dialogue between forms, textures, and the viewer, integrating matter and light.

The poem by Federico Garcia Lorca embraces the verticality of this lamp ending with a focus light. Federico García Lorca (1898-1936) is one of the most important Spanish poets and playwright of the 20th century.
